Cable burial SeAlien Robotics
A tracked burial system for subsea cables and pipelines, with configurable jetting and cutting tools.
Discuss this system
01 / Overview
SeAlien Taurus combines a modular open frame with a tracked platform for cable and pipeline burial. Jetting, chain-cutting and wheel-cutting options allow the system to be configured around the seabed and target burial depth. Amerig coordinates equipment enquiries for Gulf of Mexico projects with the manufacturer.

Select jetting or mechanical cutting to suit the soil and cable specification.
Cable survey devices, load sensors and independently adjustable jetting swords support controlled burial.
Chassis, tracks and tooling can be assembled as a project-specific spread.
System details
Operating conditions, equipment options and deployment requirements.
The modular open frame supports jetting for sandy seabeds, chain cutting for clay or sandstone, and wheel cutting for rocky terrain. Tooling is selected around the soil and burial requirements.
Available options include floating jetting, cable survey equipment and load sensing. Jetting-sword spacing and water circuits can be configured around the cable and burial profile.
Chassis, track and jetting modules are designed for assembly and disassembly. Vessel interface, lift arrangement, ground pressure and transport envelope are reviewed for the proposed spread.
